On the 7th of January, the Wellington Police Department was called to the Wellington Lake for a goose decoy theft. An unknown suspect(s) had entered the victim’s hunting blind and removed a considerable number of duck and goose decoys sometime between the 1st of January and the 7th of January. The blind was located in the Island Cove area. A gray in color short bed truck was seen at the blind on the morning of the 6th. The decoys were all marked on the bottoms with the victim’s name or initials.
